Servicing Your Machine

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Operating in extreme conditions may require more frequent service intervals:

· Engine components may become dirty or plugged when operating in extreme heat, dust or other severe conditions.

· Engine oil and spark plugs may lose efficiency if vehicle is operated constantly at slow or low engine speeds or with frequent short trips.


Please use the following timetables to perform routine maintenance on your machine.

Before Each Use

· Check fuel level.

· Check engine oil level.

· Clean air intake screen.

· Check safety systems.

· Check tire pressure.

· Check/tighten loose hardware.

Initial Break-In

After First 5 Hours of Operation:

· Change engine oil.

· Check for loose hardware.

After First 10 Hours of Operation:

· Lubricate front axle spindles.

· Check tire pressure and adjust if necessary.

Every 25 Hours

· Check drive belts.

· Check and clean air cleaner element, more frequently under dusty or dirty conditions.

· Check and clean battery.

· Lubricate rear axles, (GX85).

· Change engine oil, when operating mower in extremely dusty or dirty conditions.

Every 50 Hours or Annually (whichever comes first)

· Change engine oil.

70 Hours

· Adjust brake pedal linkage.

100 Hours

· Inspect and regap spark plug.

· Adjust mower engagement rod (PTO).

· Replace fuel filter.
